THE GLORY OF PERSISTENCE

The Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona is crafted from Oystersteel with a white dial and contrasting index rings. Presented on an Oyster bracelet, it features a black Cerachrom bezel and an engraved tachymetric scale.

A key part of the style of the line is the bezel, which features a tachymetric scale for measuring average speeds up to 400 miles or kilometers per hour. Blending high-tech with understated aesthetics, the black bezel is a nod to the 1965 model, which was fitted with a black Plexiglas bezel insert.

The Cerachrom monobloc bezel in high-tech ceramic offers several advantages: it is corrosion-resistant, scratch-resistant and unaffected by UV rays. The extremely durable bezel shape offers an exceptionally clear tachymetric scale, thanks to a thin layer of platinum applied to the numerals and graduations using a PVD process. The Cerachrom monobloc bezel is made from a single piece of material and holds the crystal firmly in place on the case, ensuring waterproofness.

WHITE WATCH FACE

Combine counter with stopwatch function

This model combines a white dial with spiral counters, diamond-set hour markers and 18 ct gold hands with a Chromalight display, made of easy-to-read luminescent material.

This watch face allows racers to track race times and strategize.

Rolex uses Oystersteel for its steel watch cases. Oystersteel was developed by Rolex and belongs to the 904L steel family - the most commonly used alloy in the high-tech, aerospace and chemical industries, where maximum corrosion resistance is essential.
